Venue and location
Where is the event taking place?
The Vox Conference Venue, Resorts World, National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, B40 1PU.
Getting there (train, car and air)
How do I get there by train?
The Vox is a 4-minute walk from Birmingham International station. After leaving the station, follow the signs to the NEC/Resorts World and walk straight ahead with the lake on your left. For more information on getting to The Vox, tap the Find Your Way tile in the Conference App or click here.
Can I fly in?
Birmingham Airport is connected to Birmingham International station by a free 2-minute monorail. From the station, follow the walking directions above.
Is there parking available?
Free parking is available in South 6 car park, which is the allocated car park for the conference. Please bring your parking ticket to validate at The Vox. For directions to South 6, see the Find Your Way tile in the Conference App or via South 6 Car Park Directions.
How do I get to the Vox?
The Vox Conference Centre is located inside Resorts World Birmingham. It is on Level 2 of the building. When arriving at Resorts World, there are two main entrances:
Main Entrance 1: Walking in from South 6 car park [entrance by Nike and Costa Coffee]
- Continue straight through the shopping mall, passing shops including Skopes and Lindt.
- At the escalators near Zizzi, take the escalator up to the next floor.
- Continue towards Cineworld and take the escalator up again.
- The Vox entrance is at the top of the escalators.
Main Entrance 2: Walking in from the train station [entrance by WHSmith]
- Arriving from the train station, follow signs towards Resorts World Birmingham.
- Enter the building and continue straight following Perspective Wealth Conference signs.
- Take the escalators above the Guest Services desk to the upper level.
- Take another escalator up past Cineworld and follow signs to the Vox, level 2.
Arriving from the Genting Hotel
Option 1 (Recommended)
1. Take the lift directly to Level 2 and follow signs to the Vox Conference Centre.
Option 2
- Exit through the glass doors to the left of the hotel reception desk.
- Take the escalators behind the Guest Services desk.
- Take another escalator up next to Cineworld.
- Follow signage to the Vox, (Level 2).
Arrival and what to expect
What time does the conference on Tuesday 3rd November start and finish?
Arrival is from 8:00am, with the conference starting promptly at 9:30am. The conference is expected to finish at approximately 5:00-5:30pm. The evening drinks and dinner begin at 7:00pm.
What is the dress code?
Business attire is requested for the daytime conference (ties are not required). The evening event is smart casual.
What do I need to bring on the day?
Please bring the mobile device that has the Conference App installed, as you may be asked to show it to security staff on arrival.
You will also be given a conference lanyard, which must be worn at all times, including at the evening dinner.
Food, drink and dietary requirements
Will food and drink be provided?
Yes, all food and drink is included from your arrival through to the end of the evening event, so food and drink expenses for this period will not be reimbursed.
What if I have a dietary or other requirement?
If you didn't mention any dietary or other requirements when you registered, please let us know by emailing conference@pfgl.co.uk at any time before the event.
Accommodation
All accommodation details can be found within the Conference App. Simply navigate to the Menu button and select My Details or Hotel & Venue Information to view your accommodation and event location information.
On the day
Will there be a photographer or videographer at the event?
Yes, a professional photographer and videographer will be present throughout the day. If you have requested not to be photographed, this will be respected, you will be provided with a white lanyard and any images in which you appear will not be used.

Are there coaches?
Coaches will run between the hotels and The Vox. The collection point is directly outside the entrance next to WHSmith, on Level 0. Please follow the signs, and see the coach times below.
For pick up times from your hotel, please click on your hotel information in the app.

- Destination: The Moxy, Hilton Met NEC and AC Marriott IBIS Styles
- Shuttle coaches will run to all three hotels between 22:00 and 00:15.
Is there a recommended taxi company?
If you require a taxi, please download the Veezu App and book your journey through the app. Alternatively, you can contact TC Cars directly on 0121 770 2000, who operate 24/7.
Please note that dedicated coaches will be running between all conference hotels and The Vox throughout the event. As transport between the hotels and venue is already provided, taxi fares for these journeys cannot be reimbursed.
What expenses can I reclaim?
You may claim reimbursement for the following:
- Travel to and from Birmingham
- Car parking
- An evening meal if you are staying overnight on Monday 2nd November prior to the conference, within the company's expense allowance
Please note that all food and refreshments will be provided throughout the day on Tuesday 3rd November, from your arrival at the conference through to your departure. As such, we do not expect to receive any expense claims relating to this period.
Any expense claims submitted for Tuesday 3rd November will require prior justification and will not be reimbursed without approval.
If you have any questions regarding eligible expenses, please speak to your line manager before incurring any costs.
