About
Facilitating Community Conversations
Across communities, we see an increasing need for organizations and community leaders to create environments that promote shared understanding and caring connections through dialogue and deliberation.
CSU Extension invites you to attend a Facilitator Training on November 10th and 11th. This immersive training will equip participants to plan and convene effective conversations on local challenges they see in communities. No conversation is quite as timely, personal, or necessary as the one focused on ensuring support for behavioral health.
This training will emphasize designing local conversations around topics of wellbeing, suicide prevention, inclusive gatherings, and respectful dialogue.
Our time together will help you:
- Identify strategies and best practices for addressing behavioral health in communities.
- Support community members to engage in dialogue and deliberation around difficult issues.
- Learn and practice using tools to plan and facilitate community conversations.
- Begin designing your local conversations to cocreate solutions.
This free, 2-day event will take place at the CSU Spur Campus in Denver, Colorado. Due to limited capacity, those interested in participating are asked to apply before October 30th. If you are a community leader committed to promoting effective and considerate conversations, we hope you will consider applying to this training.
