Summary - 2025 Exploring Economics Conference

Join us for “Exploring Economics: From Classroom to Career,” a free, one-day conference for undergraduate students interested in exploring a career in economics. Participants will discover how to use their passions and courses to help guide their career path. Whether your interest is in public policy, emerging technologies, behavioral research or any of the other fields where economics plays a role, this conference will offer useful insights into how to transition from academic life to a thriving career in economics.

This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Anna Kovner, executive vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. The event will also feature economics professionals working in a variety of focus areas.

The Exploring Economics Conference is hosted by the Richmond Fed in partnership with the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond and the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Students will have the opportunity to:
