Join us for the AAMC CMO Leadership Academy to gain skills and resources that are integral to your success.  

What to Expect

This 15-month executive training program is exclusively designed for current and aspiring CMOs in academic medicine and will equip you with the critical leadership skills and knowledge you need to successfully meet the business and administrative demands of your role.

The program’s curriculum, designed by teaching hospitals and health systems CMOs, consists of thought-provoking plenaries and highly interactive small-group breakout sessions, peer mentorship, independent project work and more. You’ll also participate in ample networking opportunities where you will have the chance to build meaningful connections with peers.

CMO Leadership Academy cohorts are purposely kept small to provide an intimate and interactive experience for our attendees.

Who Should Apply

This program is designed specifically for CMOs within your first four years of the position and senior physician leaders preparing to assume the role within the next one to three years.  Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be considered:

• Be from an AAMC member institution, affiliate, or teaching hospital
• Obtain support from the CEO of your teaching hospital or Dean of your medical school to ensure program fit
• Identify a care redesign project for implementation during participation in the program
• Commit to attending all in-person and virtual meetings
