Municipal elections shape so much of daily life — from housing and transit to roads, parks and community safety. But how do we ensure the voices of communities are heard?

United Way Greater Toronto and the Democratic Engagement Exchange at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) have partnered to launch Voice the Vote, a non-partisan, community-led campaign connecting GTA residents to the issues shaping the Oct. 26, 2026 municipal elections.

Join us for Diving Deeper: Municipal Elections, a virtual session exploring how communities can have their voices heard and the priorities residents want to see reflected in the upcoming elections.

The discussion will be led by John Beebe, Founder and Director of the Democratic Engagement Exchange at Toronto Metropolitan University, Lori Galway, Director, Public Policy & Public Affairs, United Way Greater Toronto and Abby Tait, Senior Manager of Public Affairs & Government Relations at United Way Greater Toronto.
