Our Radiation Safety Officer Course is designed to provide the technical and practical information needed to prepare a person to be an effective radiation safety officer. It will also be useful as general introductory training for anyone who works with radioactive materials or who may be required to be an alternate radiation safety officer. Some prior knowledge of algebra and science is necessary to get the most benefit from the course.
Our Online RSO Course is conducted live on Zoom with an instructor. A few days before the course, you’ll be e-mailed the Zoom login details along with access to our LMS training portal, where you can find course materials and the final exam.
Before the course begins please make sure your laptop or PC has the Zoom video conferencing application installed, and you have access to a working webcam and microphone.
You will also need a scientific calculator (such as a TI-30 or equivalent, or an app on your laptop/PC) for class exercises.
