The IEEE 802 Wireless Interim Session is part of a series of technical meetings organized by the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA). During these sessions, members of the IEEE 802 Working Groups gather to discuss and negotiate standards, as well as present developments in their respective fields. The IEEE 802 Wireless Interim Sessions are held three times annually — in January, May, and September—in a mixed-mode (hybrid) format, combining in-person and virtual participation.
