Initial Teacher Evaluator (PERA) Training AA 2001
Illinois Performance Evaluation - Teacher Evaluation Training (AA #2001)
This two-day academy is for educators who are seeking initial training qualification to be legally qualified to conduct evaluations of licensed personnel. The training aligns to the Illinois School Code competencies defined by Administrative Code Part 50, Section 50.420 (a-b). It also satisfies the teacher evaluator training requirement for most Principal Prep graduate programs.
AA 2001 is composed of a Pre-Work Activity estimated to take two-three hours; two days in class, both of which are mandatory; and a three-hour, in-class, graded Post-Assessment exam comprised of objective and essay questions.
The Pre-Work Activity will be emailed to registrants about 10 days in advance of the session's first day, and will be due 3 days in advance.
Final Grades will be transmitted within seven business days. It is strongly recommended that potential trainees be familiar with--even better, experienced with--the Danielson Framework for Teacher Evaluation before registering and attempting the training.
This course fulfills University requirements for the Principal Prep Program, as well as Illinois State Board of Education certification requirements to evaluate teachers.
