Official new characters are added to the lore just for this event, and your actions will directly impact the 41st Millennium.
Long before deployment, you'll digitally meet your fellow commanders, receive extensive lore and briefings, and interact with the dramatis personae.
A Very Warhammer 40,000 Weekend
The Grand Narrative is created in close concert with the Warhammer Studio. The Lore, Missions, and Dramatis Personae all come direct from the beating heart of Warhammer, and you get to directly interface with and decide the fate of these settings and characters. The Grand Narrative Command Staff take on the roles of each Persona, fully costumed and never breaking character. Instead of plain gaming rooms, the battlefields you deploy to will look, sound, and feel like any of numerous iconic settings from the wartorn 41st Millennium. The Missions will commit fully to the task of connecting your gaming experiences with the tale being told. From amongst the Dramatis Personae, three characters in particular will rise as the Lords of War, delivering your briefings and status updates in the form of live dramatic performances (complete with the occasional well-warranted casualty when your successes or failures deem it necessary that a beloved character meet their ultimate fate).
Throughout the Grand Narrative, expect the kind of experience you've always imagined a Warhammer 40,000 event could deliver, but never thought actually possible. Beyond its spectacle, the Grand Narrative also stands as the largest Narrative Warhammer event, and with over 400 Commanders participating is one of the largest overall Warhammer events on the planet.
