What is the Grand Narrative?
The Grand Narrative takes the concept of Narrative Warhammer further than ever before. From the moment of registration onward, your entire experience is immersed in the lore and setting of the grimdark 41st Millennium. Official new characters are added to the lore just for this event, and your actions will directly impact the 41st Millennium.
Long before deployment, you'll digitally meet your fellow commanders, receive extensive lore and briefings, and interact with the dramatis personae.
What is a Warhammer Open?
Warhammer Open is a weekend-long celebration of Warhammer; featuring official tournaments, hobby activities, painting showcases, and chances to connect with the community. Players of all skill levels are welcome!
When and where are the Grand Narrative and the Warhammer Open Atlanta?
Dates: November 20-22, 2026
Location: Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 265 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30303
Does that mean that the Grand Narrative and the Warhammer Open Atlanta are happening at the same time?
That's correct! Both the Grand Narrative and the Warhammer Open Atlanta will be happening concurrently in the same building and at the same time, the more the merrier!
I'm not interested in participating, can I come check it out? / Can I bring friends or family who aren’t playing?
For the Warhammer Open Atlanta event, Spectators are welcome to attend and do not need to purchase a ticket for entry, though we ask they do not disrupt ongoing games.
We do not allow spectators into the Grand Narrative event to keep experience as immersive as possible.
What kinds of events are happening?
We’re running a full lineup of Warhammer events, including:
- The Grand Narrative
- Warhammer 40,000 Grand Narrative
- Kill Team Narrative
- The Warhammer Open Atlanta
- Warhammer 40,000 Grand Tournament
- Age of Sigmar Grand Tournament
What there be hobby events happening at the Warhammer Open Atlanta?
Due to space restrictions we will not have space available to run hobby events at the Warhammer Open Atlanta.
Do I need a ticket to attend?
You’ll need a ticket for the event(s) you want to play in.
Is there a Hotel Block arranged by Warhammer Open?
Yes! For Warhammer Open Atlanta we are partnering with Hyatt Regency Atlanta. You can book your room here.
Are there age restrictions?
No children under the age of 18 years will be admitted to the Venue unless accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 years or over. GW takes no responsibility for children under the age of 18, responsibility shall remain with the parent or guardian of the relevant child at all times.

What are the rules on model modifications?
All rules and policies regarding models participating in tournaments are in listed in the specific tournament's Player Pack.
Is there a painting requirement?
Yes, all miniatures used in Warhammer Open events must be fully painted and based to a reasonable standard.

Don't panic! Confirmation emails have often been known to be hiding in your spam folder! Check there first, if you still cannot find it, send us an email at globalevents@gwplc.com and we can send it over to you.
Can I buy an additional swag box / upgrade my standard swag box onsite?
Swag boxes are only for attendees participating in a ticketed activity, including Grand Tournaments, Hobby Challenge and paint classes. They will not be for sale separately.
Ticketed activity attendees can upgrade their standard swag box to a premium swag box onsite, but it will NOT include both Event Exclusive Models.
Premium Swag Boxes pre-ordered in advance of the event will include both Event Exclusive Models. There is a limited quantity available to pre-order.
What is the refund policy?
We ask that all refunds are requested three weeks before the event to allow for planning adjustments. For Grand Narrative and Warhammer Open Atlanta refunds should be requested before 30 October 2026.
Refunds requested by 30 October 2026 will receive a full refund. Any refunds requested after 30 October 2026 will not be honored.
