Early Learning Intervention Training and Education (ELITE) for Board Staff

The ELITE Initiative is designed to build Workforce Board and Childcare Program capacity to support children with disabilities, children with undiagnosed disabilities, and children exhibiting challenging behaviors. Through targeted training, technical assistance, and practical guidance, ELITE seeks to expand access to inclusive learning environments and reduce suspension and expulsion in early childhood settings.

The initiative includes three core Inclusion for Children with Disabilities (ICD) components. all provided at no cost:

• ICD Technical Support: On‑demand assistance via phone and email for Workforce Board staff navigating inclusion‑related policy and implementation questions. 
• ICD Professional Development: High‑quality virtual and in‑person training for both Board staff and Child Care programs to strengthen local capacity and consistency in inclusion practices. 
• ICD Support Guides: Practical tools developed for both Board staff and Child Care Programs to support effective implementation of inclusion requirements.
