Summary - PPS Boot Camp

This highly interactive, introductory, three-day workshop is specifically designed to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the IRF PPS regulations that govern the new IRF‑PAI V4.4 completion. By attending the PPS Boot Camp remotely, attendees will be expected to participate in a comprehensive review and exhibit an ongoing understanding of IRF-PAI coding (including completing the quality indicator items), CMG assignment, pertinent IRF PPS regulations and much more by means of an interactive forum.

Whether they are brand-new to an IRF or have years of experience in inpatient rehab, attendees will benefit from this in-depth virtual workshop and its comprehensive resources.

Day 1: Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026 | 12:00 - 5:30 p.m. ET

Day 2: Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026 | 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. ET

Day 3: Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 | 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. ET

Target Audience: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility professionals involved in IRF-PAI completion, including Therapy managers, Nursing managers, PPS Coordinators, Admission Liaisons and program directors.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

Day 1:

Identify CMS resources required for accurate IRF-PAI completion
Recall CMS’s guidelines for completing the admission and discharge assessments for the IRF-PAI
Demonstrate coding accuracy utilizing CMS definitions and coding tips for quality indicator items

Day 2:

Differentiate the impairment group code, the etiologic diagnosis, comorbid conditions, and complications on the IRF-PAI
Explain inpatient rehabilitation post discharge procedures ensuring alignment with CMS compliance standards

Day 3:

Identify the components of a CMG
The participant will identify an impairment group code that is presumptively compliant with CMS 60% rule
