This course is designed for Trainees in the early stages of Intensive Care Medicine training, providing a comprehensive foundation in the knowledge and skills required for safe and effective practice in the intensive care unit. It delivers current, evidence-based content that reflects modern intensive care practice, supporting participants to engage confidently and competently in clinical care.

  • Airway, ventilation and circulatory support
  • Sepsis, trauma and neurocritical care essentials
  • Burns and transplant care principles
  • End-of-life care and goals of care discussions
  • Hands-on skills workshops (e.g. CVC insertion, airway management, setting and troubleshooting mechanical ventilators)
