Learner Access, Support, and Transitions

Expanding Opportunity, Guiding Every Step

Supporting learners across the continuum—from entry into medical education through the transition to residency—demands intentional design, coordinated systems of support, and practices to improve the health of people everywhere. The Learner Access, Support, and Transitions program track brings together admissions leaders, student affairs professionals, educators, advisors, and institutional decision-makers united by a common goal: strengthening access, enriching the learning environment, and guiding learners through critical inflection points.

This curated track highlights strategies to advance holistic review, modernize admissions and advising, leverage data for continuous improvement, and better support learners navigating complex transitions. By following this track, attendees will engage with emerging research, practical tools, and cross-sector innovations to build more transparent, supportive, and mission-aligned pathways into and through medical education.

"The pressures I would say that our learners can feel are so different. That is a wonderful, wonderful opportunity to be able to step in and say, “We're not going to be put back by that challenge. We're going to take up and do what we committed to and meet learners where they are.”
