ACC & FTI

Join ACC MENA, in collaboration with FTI Consulting, for an insightful session exploring how General Counsel and senior legal leaders can help their organizations translate emerging AI regulation into practical governance frameworks.

Across the GCC, AI regulation is progressing from broad principles and national strategies towards formal policies, regulatory expectations and binding legal requirements. As organizations expand their use of AI, legal teams must look beyond compliance checklists and help establish clear guardrails for responsible, ethical and defensible AI adoption.

The session will examine four practical steps for turning regulatory requirements into effective internal controls:

  • Align: Translate AI and data laws into clear business priorities.
  • Govern: Establish ownership, decision-making authority and review requirements.
  • Cascade: Incorporate legal requirements into policies, processes and third-party contracts.
  • Codify: Build privacy controls, monitoring and audit evidence into AI systems and platforms.

The speakers will discuss where the General Counsel should lead and where responsibility should sit with Data, Technology and Business teams. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the AI and data regulations developing across the GCC, together with a practical checklist to assess whether their organization’s use of AI is governed, compliant and defensible.
