This seminar discusses frontier topics in energy and climate science, including climate resilience, energy and climate policy, and emerging technologies, and features presentations by EPRI staff and external experts from academia, government, industry, and non-profit organizations along with interactive discussions among the seminar participants. This event is supported by EPRI’s Program 201 on Energy, Environmental, and Climate Policy Analysis and Program 262 on Climate Risk and Resilience.

ATTENDANCE BENEFITS

This long-running event covers key energy and environmental topics of significant interest to the U.S. energy sector related to climate science understanding, policy perspectives, decarbonization technologies and research priorities. It provides an opportunity for decision-makers and stakeholders interested in the latest in energy and environmental research to discuss key issues and policy drivers as well as their implications for the utility industry.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The target audience includes stakeholders from industry, government, academia, non-governmental organizations and others interested in energy and climate issues. In order to encourage open discussion, please observe Chatham House rules: participants are free to use the information received but without attribution to the identity or affiliation of the speaker, including on social media.

Please note that there is no cost to participate in the seminar.

MEMBERS MEETING

Members of EPRI’s Programs 201 and 262 are invited to attend a meeting following the seminar at EPRI’s DC office, which will start at 2 pm ET on Thursday, May 7th and conclude at 1 pm ET on Friday, May 8th. Please register and book your hotel as usual for the seminar, and email the meeting planner with your intent to participate in the member meeting and desired hotel check out date. The meeting agenda and other logistics will be shared separately.

All travel arrangements should be made directly by the attendee. Rates and availability cannot be guaranteed by booking outside of the group link. Please contact the planner if you have any questions regarding booking your hotel.
