The Experience Marketplace Pilot gives employees the chance to grow through real-world leadership experiences.
In this pilot, you can sign up for hands-on learning opportunities focused on two important workplace skills:
- Saying the hard thing to a client without damaging trust
- Delegating work more effectively
These experiences are designed to help you build confidence in situations many employees face as they grow in their careers. You’ll learn alongside experienced leaders from across the firm who will share practical insight, coaching, and support. The goal is to help you feel more prepared, capable, and confident in the moments that matter most. You don’t need to have all the answers to sign up. You just need to be willing to learn, participate, and try something new.
Here is what you can expect:
Session 1: Build the Foundation
Meet your guide, learn practical approaches for the skill, and discuss how it applies to real situations at work.
Session 2: Prepare for the Real Experience
Work with your guide to prepare for a real-world opportunity to practice the skill, including planning, strategy, and feedback beforehand.
Between Session 2 and Session 3: Real World Application
Take action in your actual work environment. This may involve initiating a conversation, leading a situation, addressing a challenge, or seeking out an opportunity aligned with the experience.
Session 3: Reflect and Strengthen the Skill
After applying the skill on the job, debrief the experience with your guide, talk through what you learned, and identify ways to continue growing.
Note:
- For this pilot, please only register for one Experience.
- Experience Guides have pre-determined when Experience sessions will take place based on their availability. If you are unable to attend or are uncertain that you will be able to attend ALL sessions, please wait to register until you can commit fully.
- Please read each Experience description carefully to ensure that the current conditions of your role will be conducive to completion of Experience skill application.
Experiences
Saying the Hard Thing to a Client Without Damaging Trust
Experience Description:
This experience will help you navigate situations where something has gone off track with a client and you need to address it directly, such as missed expectations or scope changes. You will work through a real conversation you need to have (or someone around you needs to have) and build your confidence by addressing it directly while maintaining or rebuilding trust.
Stop Doing Everything Yourself
Experience Description:
This experience will help you shift from doing all of the work yourself to working more effectively through others. Many people reach a point where they are carrying too much, staying in the details, and reworking tasks, which limits their ability to take on more responsibility. In this experience, you will identify something you should delegate, prepare for that handoff, and apply it in real work between sessions. The goal is to reduce rework and frustration, improve how work is handed off, and create capacity for you to grow.
