SERIES OVERVIEW

Join Sue Thotz from Common Sense Media for a three-part series on building a culture of digital well-being. We'll start with you, then widen the lens to your students, and finally to the families and communities that surround them, giving you tools for lasting, sustainable change. Learn about the "frictionless design" pulling kids away from real relationships and what schools can do about it. Explore practical tools for partnering with families to better align digital habits between home and school.

Session 1: The Mindful Educator
Before we can guide students, we have to know ourselves. In this session we'll explore your own tech habits, values, and thinking traps.

Session 2: Real Social Skills
AI companions and parasocial relationships are quietly reshaping how students connect — or fail to connect — with each other. This session unpacks the "frictionless design" pulling kids away from real relationships and what schools can do about it.

Session 3: The Screen Time Divide
When school and home aren't aligned on digital habits, the gap shows. This session offers practical tools for partnering with families to close that divide and create a consistent culture of well-being.
