Join fellow Houston-area CPAs and finance professionals for a monthly virtual discussion series focused on practical insights, professional growth, and peer-to-peer learning.
The Lessons Learned Virtual Series (LLVS) provides a collaborative forum where attendees can explore current issues affecting the profession, share real-world experiences, and learn from the successes and challenges of their peers. Unlike traditional lecture-style presentations, LLVS sessions combines expert-led presentations with interactive discussion and workshop activities to help attendees deepen their understanding and apply what they've learned. Each session features approximately one hour of presentation followed by one hour of facilitated discussion, practical exercises, or collaborative problem-solving, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas, and leave with actionable takeaways.
Topics will vary throughout the year, including accounting and business challenges, technology, cybersecurity, and process improvements, leadership and communication skills, ethics, career development, and lessons learned from real-world projects and experiences.
Professionals from industry, public accounting, consulting, government, and nonprofit organizations are welcome to participate.
Program Details
- Third Thursday of each month, September 2026 through May 2027
Except Nov. and Dec. - Second Thursday - 2:30–4:30 PM (Virtual via Zoom)
- Earn up to 18 hours of CPE annually (2 hours per session)
