This Conference is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of services in their respective professions.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND This conference is designed for persons working with diverse cultural groups, including but not limited to students, social workers, nurses, professional counselors, psychologists, physicians, attorneys, law enforcement, policymakers, educators, members of the clergy, criminal justice professionals, as well as other interested personnel.
CONTACT HOURS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION, The “48th Annual Cross Cultural Conference has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. Sessions approved for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Action Council for Cross Cultural Mental Health and Human Services is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-5150.” The 48th Annual Cross Cultural Conference is approved for up to 12.75 NBCC credit hours.
AHEC: This program is approved for 2.2 CEU’s (22 clock hours) of continuing education by Mid-Carolina AHEC, Inc. and meets the SC AHEC Continuing Education Best Practice Standards. Participants must attend 90% of the program to receive a certificate of attendance. No partial credit will be given.
COUNSELORS & THERAPISTS: This program has been pre-approved for 22 hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
NURSING: Mid-Carolina AHEC is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This nursing continuing education activity approval # 2408-010PR-153 has been approved for 19.5 hours.
SOCIAL WORKERS: This program has been approved by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners for 13.25 clock hours of social work continuing education.
