We are pleased to invite you to the Chief Audit Executives (CAE) Roundtable series hosted by the IIA  Toronto Chapter and EY Canada.

This is an exclusive invitation and an exciting opportunity for CAEs, Chief Risk Officers and other senior executives to build relationships, exchange perspectives on current topics and learn from industry peers.

Eighteen months into the implementation of the Global Internal Audit Standards, Internal Audit leaders continue to refine their mandates, strategies, and operating models to meet evolving stakeholder expectations. While the Standards have provided a common framework for enhancing quality, governance, and performance, organizations are encountering varying challenges in translating the requirements into practical, sustainable approaches.

Join us for an interactive discussion on lessons learned, common areas of focus, and how Internal Audit functions are adapting their strategies to drive greater value across their organizations. In this session, we are pleased to welcome a keynote speaker from the IIA who has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the Standards, along with an EY Partner who has conducted dozens of External Quality Assessments over the course of his career.

Participants will leave with practical ideas and peer insights to help refine Internal Audit’s mandate, align resources with strategic priorities, and demonstrate greater value to boards and executive stakeholders.

Key topics to be discussed include:

  1. Lessons Learned from Standards Implementation: Experiences, successes, and challenges encountered since adopting the Global Internal Audit Standards.
  2. Tailoring the Standards to Your Organization: Practical approaches for applying the Standards within different organizational structures, including smaller Internal Audit functions.
  3. Defining the Future IA Mandate and Strategy: Aligning Internal Audit’s purpose, priorities, and resources with emerging risks, stakeholder expectations, and organizational objectives.

Session Type: In-person

CPE: 1.5 credits
