DSEA offers two exclusive defensive driving courses to its members and their families, which can save you up to 15% on your car insurance. The courses are taught by an instructor from Interstate Training Alliance, LLC, who is the preferred DSEA defensive driving provider. The Basic Defensive Driving course is six hours long and can reduce your car insurance by 10%. The Refresher Defensive Driving course is three hours long and can save you up to 15% on your car insurance. These courses are valued at $35, but DSEA members and their families can take them for only $12 each! To receive your certificate, you must attend the full six hours for the Basic course and the full three hours for the Advanced/Refresher course. The Basic course is a prerequisite and is valid for three years before you need to take the Refresher course. Each certificate is valid for three years and is accepted by Delaware insurance companies. You will receive your certificate in the mail within two weeks of completing the course.
