When is this year's event?
The 2026 Tri-State Special Education Conference will be held on Thursday, November 12 - Friday, November 13, 2026 at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
What is the Tri-State Regional Special Education Law Conference all about?
This conference brings together professionals from across Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa who are dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and their families. Designed for a diverse audience—including general and special education administrators, teachers, service providers, parents, advocates, attorneys, and others—this event focuses on enhancing special education services and collaborative practices.
Sessions are geared toward individuals with a foundational understanding of special education law, procedures, and best practices.
Who will attend this conference?
We are anticipating as many as 1,100 special education participants to attend this event. These participants will include parents, advocates, attorneys, special education directors, administrators, and other education leaders to explore the latest developments in special education law and practice. This event is planned on behalf of the Iowa Department of Education, the Kansas Department of Education, and the Nebraska Department of Education.
What makes this conference special and different for sponsors?
This gives companies an opportunity to meet with administrators and educators from multiple states at the same time. While the primary focus is on Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska, we also have attendees from multiple other states.
We work hard to ensure sponsors have meaningful access to conference participants, including prominently placed sponsor tables adjacent to the conference area.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Substitutions
Substitutions may be made up to November 9, 2026 by calling 435-797-9021. After this point, substitutions will need to be made on site.
Alternatively, registrations may be cancelled by October 30, 2026 for a full refund.
Cancellations
Registrations can be cancelled by October 30, 2026 for a full refund. Cancellations received after this time will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
Event cancellation is at the discretion of the sponsoring agency/organization. TAESE assumes no liability, beyond the paid registration fee, for event cancellation.
