From Foundations to Strategic Management, Plus a Track Exclusively for Alumni
The GBA Compliance School is a two-year program that aims to equip both new and experienced banking professionals with the necessary tools to establish, supervise and maintain an effective compliance program. Our objective is to provide industry professionals with the essentials they need to identify risks and mitigate them, while simultaneously fostering partnerships with all business lines within the organization. This is achieved by imparting compliance as well as leadership skills.
Both years spend time focusing on leadership, team building and maintaining strong peer relationships, which help to strengthen the bank’s compliance management program and create cohesion throughout the organization. These concepts teach compliance professionals how to better understand their organization’s business lines and provide a guide to creating successful partnerships that benefit the entire organization.
In addition, the school offers an alumni track for those who have graduated and are looking for a refresh or a deeper understanding of any particular topic.
The schools run concurrently with Georgia Banking School.
Year 1
Building the Base
Year 1 of the school examines the fundamentals required to ensure a solid compliance management program that reaches all departments throughout the bank. Regardless of your position or career path, this training will enable you to scrutinize your bank's compliance program, break down department silos, and ensure that there are no cracks in the monitoring foundation.
Year 2
Strategic Compliance Management
Year 2 of the school builds on the foundation by providing more practical applications for overseeing lending, deposit and operational regulations. We focus on how to maintain an ongoing, proactive compliance management program and provide additional tools to help you protect your bank against potential compliance risks.
ACE
Alumni Track
The learning journey never ends! Continue your personal and professional growth by enrolling in our ACE program. As a graduate of the school, you can enroll as an alumni student and choose your own class schedule offering flexibility and convenience. Earn credits with each enrolled class to earn a GBA Compliance School Master's.
Graduation Ready
Compliance regulations are ever-evolving, and our school evolves with them. Students progress through a structured, two-year learning program designed to build expertise and confidence. Earning the diploma demonstrates a banker’s readiness to lead and serve at a higher level. Graduates can continue their professional growth by enrolling in our alumni program.
