We're all responders. Whether your work is in public health, emergency response services, law enforcement, education, government, healthcare, behavioral health, spiritual care, victim advocacy, volunteering, emergency management or a myriad of other possibilities... we all function in a response capacity when disasters or emergencies happen.

Being a resilient responder starts with a commitment to taking care of yourself.  There are important steps you can take to keep yourself healthy as you take care of others. This training examines the 2025 Maine Responder Safety and Health Survey findings and addresses the top five areas of self-care that respondents wanted to learn more about.

Intended Audience: Emergency responders and management, natural community helpers, mental health and substance misuse providers, public health and healthcare professionals, social workers, counselors, spiritual care providers, law enforcement, government, and other individuals who wish to learn more about responder self-care strategies.
