About the Pre-Conference
This 2026 Tri-State Pre-Conference will focus on the basics of complaint investigating and is open only to state complaint investigators and State Education Agency employees who coordinate or supervise state complaint investigators. While this conference is put on by and for the three states, other states are welcome to attend.
This is always an informative, fun, and popular session. The purpose of this session is to provide introductory strategies and offer best practices regarding state complaint investigations. This is an opportunity for you to network with other state complaint investigators.

Registration Deadline and Cost
Registration for this event is open until October 20, 2026, or until event registration has reached capacity.
As the 2026 event will be held virtually, there will be no registration fee this year.
General Tri-State Special Education Law Conference
The general Tri-State Special Education Law conference is designed for general and special education administrators and teachers, service providers, parents, advocates, lawyers and others involved in developing and supporting special education services for children with disabilities and their families.
