ADEPT Educational Institute of Maine and the Maine CDC are pleased to present a grassroots, youth-led and adult-guided model for meaningful collective community engagement and impact.
The D-Max Effect Train-the-Trainer program equips professionals with a proven, structured framework to guide youth in turning real community needs into measurable impact.
Led by Lisa Liberatore and Dorian (“D-Max”) Pillsbury, this training provides a step-by-step model that blends leadership development, community engagement, and project execution. Participants will learn how to facilitate the full experience—from identifying community needs to supporting youth-led initiatives that produce tangible outcomes.
Through a combination of instruction, hands-on application, and coaching strategies, trainees will leave prepared to confidently implement this model within their own schools, organizations, or programs.
This approach has already demonstrated meaningful results, including youth-led campaigns generating over $17,000 in community support and large-scale donation drives benefiting local families.
