Promoting Adult Resilience: Building Your Bounce Train-the-Trainer Course
Wednesdays, March 24 - April 28, 2027, from 12-2 p.m. (ET)
High levels of stress are the reality for too many caregivers (teachers, staff, parents/family members), which can have a direct negative impact on young children. It is up to trainers, coaches, and anyone supporting those caregivers to promote resilience and wellness! This training will discuss how to do that and simultaneously combat stress and burnout.
The Building Your Bounce Train-the-Trainer Course is for individuals who provide training or technical assistance to those working directly with young children. This course will teach participants how to train/present on the important topic of adult resilience and wellness. Those who graduate from the course will walk away with the content, skills, and resources necessary to deliver a successful Building Your Bounce training.
During the course, participants will:
- Observe the co-author of the Building Your Bounce content, Dr. Nefertiti Poyner, deliver the training modules to learn strategies, activities, and techniques to successfully deliver the training content themselves
- Learn to plan for and deliver a Building Your Bounce training as a four-workshop series (1.5 hours for each workshop), as a combined one-day training, and as a virtual training
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Feel confident and prepared to answer a variety of questions that may arise when training/presenting on the topic of adult resilience and wellness
- Receive slide decks, trainer notes, a handout packet, a Building Your Bounce Resource Kit, and more (including some resources translated into Spanish)
This course will provide participants with a unique opportunity to strengthen their skills, build their knowledge base, and practice applying the concepts of adult resilience in various training scenarios. Participants will gain valuable tools to support them in their role as trainers committed to building cultures of resilience, compassion and strength.
Please see the "Key Details" tab to learn more about the requirements for attendance, homework assignments, and use of materials following completion of the course. While this course will be a commitment, it is designed to build your knowledge, skill, and application of concepts within your role as a trainer and/or coach.
