Teacher Clarity Playbook Hybrid Certification

The Teacher Clarity Certification is designed to equip educators and instructional leaders with the knowledge, tools, and facilitation strategies needed to develop and lead Teacher Clarity Playbook trainings within their school systems. Over two days, participants will explore core concepts of Teacher Clarity (organization, explanation, guided practice, and assessment) through interactive and practical learning. Grounded in research identifying Teacher Clarity as one of the most impactful influences on student achievement, the certification includes time for participants to create, share, and analyze systems for clarity in their own schools and districts. In addition to tools and resources shared during the training, participants will receive continued support with research-based practices throughout the three-year certification period. By the end of the certification, teachers and leaders will be equipped to support colleagues in implementing high-impact practices that improve student learning and instructional alignment.

PLEASE NOTE: As this certification is a more advanced training on how to teach back the concepts of Teacher Clarity Playbook, Corwin will require each participant to engage in a handful of pre-work activities such as watching videos, reading book excerpts, and/or blogs and articles prior to attending the certification event.  It will be imperative that you understand the basic foundational concepts of Teacher Clarity Playbook to successfully become certified in this work.  Details on accessing the pre-work will be provided prior to the training. There will also be a homework assignment on the first night of the training that participants will need to complete and be prepared to discuss on the second day of training.

$2,450 per person to attend virtually via Zoom

  $3,225 per person to attend in person

 Must be employed by a School System, County Office of Education or Education Service Agency to participate. Visible Learning Ambassador Certification license is good for three years from the date of the training and is eligible for renewal.

• Editable PPTs and video created exclusively for certified trainers
• Access to the TCP certified trainer portal that will house all supplementary resources and provide a streamlined means of communication between the Thought Leaders, Corwin and the certified trainers
• Regular newsletters and updates to the content and resources.

Success Criteria:

• I can name the nine aspects of teacher clarity.
• I can describe the differences between learning progressions, learning intentions, and success criteria.I can analyze tasks for their alignment with learning intentions and success criteria.
• I can develop assessments that determine students’ mastery of learning intentions and success criteria.
• I can observe classrooms and recognize appropriate versus inappropriate learning intentions, success criteria, and tasks.
• I can design professional learning experiences for peers that increases their knowledge of teacher clarity.
