The David D. Caron Praelium 2026
The Ned London
The David D. Caron Praelium 2026 will take place on Tuesday, 1 December 2026, from 5:30 pm at The Ned in London, as part of London Arbitration Week 2026. Three Crowns hosts the event together with Columbia Law School and King’s College London.
The Praelium is an annual celebration of advocacy. Two leading international advocates argue an entirely fictional case study before a three-member tribunal, using real-life disputes as a guide. This year, Cecilia Carrara, Partner at Legance, and Can Yeginsu, Barrister at 3VB, will argue the case. The tribunal will be Domitille Baizeau of LALIVE as presiding arbitrator, with George A. Bermann of Columbia Law School and Samuel Wordsworth KC of Essex Court Chambers as co-arbitrators.
The event is named to honor the life and legacy of Praelium co-founder Professor David D. Caron. The Praelium alternates between London and New York, and last year’s edition took place in New York. The Praelium is invitation-only. To nominate a colleague, contact Hollie Wilks at Hollie.Wilks@ThreeCrownsLLP.com.
