Olaolu Aganga | Chief Investment Officer, Mercer

Olaolu is the U.S. Chief Investment Officer for Mercer. Based in New York, Olaolu leads the team responsible for designing, delivering and implementing all aspects of Mercer’s investment IP across traditional and alternative asset classes including strategic and dynamic asset allocation and fund manager election within a risk managed framework. Mercer’s US client base, ranges from defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans, healthcare asset owners, endowments, foundations, wealth managers, and insurance companies.

Prior to Mercer, Olaolu was a Managing Director within BlackRock’s U.S. Outsourced CIO business. She was directly responsible for the investment performance on client mandates and for delivering the best of BlackRock's investment thinking through strategic asset allocation design, portfolio construction, manager selection, and tactical asset allocation. Before BlackRock, Olaolu spent several years at Goldman Sachs.

While there she advised institutional clients on a variety of investment solutions, including the use of  factor- based strategies and derivatives to hedge and enhance returns in their investment portfolios. Prior to Goldman, she worked at Citigroup in trading, structuring, and advisory roles. Olaolu was named one of Barron's 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance in 2025. She was recognized as one of The Top 50 Women Chief Investment Officers of 2024 by Women We Admire and in 2023 she was named one of Pensions & Investments Most Influential Women in Institutional Investing.

Olaolu has made a number of guest appearances on CNBC, Bloomberg. Barron’s, Yahoo! Finance and In The Nasdaq. Olaolu earned a degree in Mathematics from Smith College, and an MBA and a Certificate in Public Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She lives in New York City with her husband and young daughter.

 

Jason Kennegy | Chief Investment Officer, Jefferies Credit Partners

Mr. Kennedy is the Chief Investment Officer of Jefferies Credit Partners, Large Cap Direct Lending. He has primary responsibility for investment sourcing, execution, and portfolio management. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Mr. Kennedy spent eight years with Greenwich Capital focused on direct lending, principal investments, and special situations. Mr. Kennedy began his career in global corporate lending at Chase Manhattan Bank, with subsequent positions at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Kennedy received a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Babson College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
