  • Legislator/General Attendee ($500): Early Bird pricing at $500 is available through September 30. General registration pricing at $600 begins on October 1.
  • Scholarship ($250): A limited number of scholarships will be available to state legislators only to offset the cost of attendance. The scholarship deadline has been extended to September 30 or until funding is depleted, whichever comes first. Requests for scholarships will be reviewed on a rolling basis and decisions made as funding allows. If awarded, you will receive an email notification with next steps for completing registration.
  • Solidarity Partner ($1,572): Solidarity registrations cover the full per-person cost of the conference in addition to allowing us to offer scholarships. Please register at this level if you represent an organization with an annual budget of $10 m+ or if you have the resources to make the Summit more accessible for others.

State Innovation Exchange (SiX) is committed to ensuring your experience as a participant in the 2026 State Action Summit is positive and productive. To that end, we ask that you please make sure that you read and understand the following Agreement in its entirety.

Nonprofit Status

SiX is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, subject to specific legal guidelines. SiX, along with its affiliated 501(c)(4) organization, SiX Action, does not support or endorse political candidates. You agree that you will not use your association with SiX, or your participation in the Summit, for or in connection with any political campaign or to otherwise intervene in an election to public office. You further agree not to engage in any illegal activity at or in connection with the Summit, or to use any SiX resources for your own private, personal benefit.

Event Security

The 2026 State Action Summit will be held  in Tempe, Arizona. Upon completing registration, attendees will receive hotel information. For the safety and comfort of our guests, please do not share the location of the 2026 State Action Summit publicly until the event has concluded.

Communications Guidelines

If you receive media inquiries about your participation in the Summit or plan to speak with a reporter, please contact Eme Crawford at eme@stateinnovation.org. Guidance on which sessions are closed versus which are open to social media amplification during the Summit will be provided while on-site at the Summit, in each session.

 

Main stage events will have press in the room however the breakout strategy sessions will not have media coverage. The breakout strategy sessions will generally follow Chatham House rules—you may use the information but not attribute the information to any person by name—to encourage candid conversation. We encourage everyone to get permission before sharing others’ personal stories or photos. Live Streaming will not be permitted.

 

For some sessions, you may also have access to nonpublic information, such as private contact information of other participants or SiX staff. Please keep all non-public information that you learn as a result of your participation in the Summit confidential. Do not share such confidential information with anyone else, including friends or family or on social media. When in doubt, you should treat any information you obtain from SiX in preparation for, during, or after your participation in the Summit as confidential.

 

Please do not use the SiX name, logo, or your participation in the Summit, in connection with or in reference to political materials of any kind (including, but not limited to, political campaign materials or lobbying materials), fundraising solicitations for any organization, or advertisements or promotional materials for any product or service that in any way suggest approval or endorsement by SiX.

 

Should you publish content that does not meet the standards outlined in these Communications Guidelines, you may be asked to remove or alter content and/or face other action, including removal from the Summit and repayment of travel expenses, depending on the nature of the violation.

Photo and Video Release

SiX will document the Summit in which you participate with photography and/or videography, and may distribute or disseminate other communications, publications or media around the Summit and your participation. You hereby grant SiX and its designees permission to use your likeness, name, image, biographic information, voice (“Likeness”), and any material based thereon or derived thereon in photographs, videos, or other digital media (“photo(s)”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, and in other publications or media, without payment or other consideration. You understand and agree that all photos, videos, or other digital media will be the sole property of SiX, and SiX may edit, distribute, publish, reproduce and otherwise exploit such media. We will always try to share any photos of you with you, and we will ask that you follow specific instructions about posting and attributing photo credit. You also irrevocably authorize SiX to reasonably edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, you waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photo product in which your Likeness appears.

 

We understand that, for privacy and security reasons, some participants have concerns about SiX’s use of their Likeness. If you have any concerns about SiX’s use of your Likeness, please contact events@stateinnovation.org.

Respect and Courtesy: Anti-Harassment Commitment

SiX enforces a Non-Discrimination and Anti-Sexual and General Harassment Policy in order to create an environment free from discrimination, harassment, retaliation and/or sexual assault. This policy covers discrimination or harassment in the workplace, regardless of whether the discrimination or harassment is committed by a supervisor, officer, co-worker or nonemployee, such as a vendor, consultant, funder, or legislator. This policy covers behavior in the workplace, including but not limited to SiX activities, events or meetings, or while on work-related travel.

 

SiX reserves the right to remove anyone from the Summit who violates the Non-Discrimination and Anti-Sexual and General Harassment Policy. SiX may investigate and involve local law enforcement depending on the nature of the matter.

 

Definitions

  • Sexual Harassment Definition: Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, sexually motivated physical contact, or other verbal or physical conduct or communication of a sexual nature when (a) submission to that conduct or communication is made a term or condition, either explicitly or implicitly, of obtaining employment; (b) submission to or rejection of that conduct or communication is used as a factor in decisions affecting that individual’s employment, or (c) that conduct or communication has the purpose or effect of substantially interfering with an individual’s work environment. Sexual harassment may occur between people of any and all genders.
  • General Harassment Definition: Workplace harassment includes words or actions that are offensive to another based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, age, sex, pregnancy status, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, political affiliation, status with regard to public assistance, citizenship status, membership or activity in a group or entity, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. 

Staff and event participants are expected to treat others with respect and are encouraged to report immediately any suspected harassment or offensive behavior.

 

Reporting

If you experience or witness discrimination or harassment in the workplace/event, please report it immediately to SiX staff.

Liability Waiver, Indemnity, and Assumption of Risk

By participating in the Summit, you hereby agree to waive and release any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, suits, damages, and expenses, now known or hereafter known in any jurisdiction throughout the world, against SiX and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, “Releasees”), on account of injury, illness, death, or property damage arising out of or attributable to your participation in the Summit, whether arising out of the negligence of SiX or any Releasees or otherwise. You agree not to make or bring any such claim against SiX or any other Releasee, and forever release and discharge SiX and all other Releasees from liability under such claims. You acknowledge that SiX is not liable for any medical expenses incurred while participating in the Summit except for those directly caused by and arising out of SiX’s gross negligence or willful misconduct. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SiX and all other Releasees against any and all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgments, settlements, interest, awards, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses of whatever kind, including reasonable attorney fees, fees and the costs of enforcing any right to indemnification under this Agreement, and the cost of pursuing any insurance providers, arising out or resulting from any claim of a third party related to your participation in the Summit.
