Nysernet Connect brings together IT, security, and network practitioners from education, research and cultural organizations for working sessions centered on practical insight - not theory. Spend the day in hands-on workshops with peers and experts, tackling the challenges of running and evolving today’s institutional environments. 

Explore connectivity, security, operations, and automation as part of the broader IT ecosystem. 

Exchange real experiences, investigate solutions used at peer institutions, and leave with tactics you can immediately apply on campus.

Programming includes:

  • Exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Empire AI Institute and University at Buffalo's Level Up eSports Arena
  • How-to hack the top vulnerabilities in education led by James Carroll of Hacket Cyber. You’ll learn how to detect the top findings from peer institution penetration tests in this experiential workshop.
  • Peer exchange on automation, sharing successes and building a repository of operations to test in your own environment.
  • Dedicated time to network with peers over lunch.
  • Office hours with the Nysernet Membership team to discuss tools, services, and support aligned to your technical priorities.
