Training Scope and Sequence

Training Day 1: Building Foundations

• During Day 1, participants develop a procedural understanding of the Arkansas LEADS 2.0 Principal Rubric while beginning to move toward a deeper conceptual understanding of effective leadership practice. Participants identify principal behaviors that impact teacher effectiveness and student outcomes and build an understanding of the importance of collecting accurate, observable evidence to assess principal practice and support meaningful evaluation and growth.

Training Day 2: Applying the Framework

• During Day 2, participants deepen their conceptual understanding of the Arkansas LEADS 2.0 Principal Rubric while practicing the collection and use of evidence to strengthen principal evaluation. Participants apply the full observation process, including beginning of year, middle of year, and end of year conferences and scoring, and plan and evaluate effective end-of-year conversations that support reflection, accountability, and continuous leadership growth.
