Expense Reimbursement

Reimbursable Expenses for Empower Participation

Reasonable business expenses related to travel and participation in the Empower program may be submitted for reimbursement through Chrome River. Training on submitting expense reports will be provided during your first week at Withum.

Reimbursable expenses include:

  • Coach airfare for those flying in, along with reasonable ground transportation to or parking at your departure airport. If multiple options are available, please choose the most cost-effective one.
  • Checked bag fees. Please check your bags online in advance to avoid higher fees at the airport. Be sure to follow airline weight limits—overweight bag fees will not be reimbursed.
  • Meals: Breakfast and lunch are provided daily, and dinner is provided on two evenings. You may not expense meals during these times.
  • You may expense reasonable meal costs on the nights we do not provide dinner and during your travel to and from the program.
  • If you extend your stay at Disney for personal vacation, meals during those dates are not reimbursable.
  • Mileage and tolls if you are driving instead of flying.

If you anticipate any expenses not listed above, please reach out to Amy Plent (aplent@Withum.com) to confirm whether they are reimbursable.

Important Notes:

  • Alcoholic beverages may not be expensed. The Firm will provide bar options at two scheduled evening events. Any other bar charges are your personal responsibility.
  • Your room key card may be used to charge meals to your room only during times when meals are not provided. These charges will be billed to the Firm’s master account.
  • You may not use your room card to charge alcoholic beverages, park tickets, or gift shop items.
  • You are required to retain receipts for any room charges for at least 60 days after the program. If Finance has questions about a charge and you cannot provide a receipt, the charge will be disallowed and you will be responsible for reimbursing the Firm.
