Rural School Leaders Professional Learning Community

Connect. Learn. Lead. Grow.

Join a dynamic Professional Learning Community designed exclusively for rural school leaders. This year, the experience is expanding into four regional cohorts across Illinois, connecting leaders from multiple IASA regions who share the unique opportunities and challenges of rural education.

Each regional cohort will be supported by four facilitators who will guide engaging discussions, encourage collaboration, and help participants turn ideas into action in their schools and communities.

What to Expect

Participants will have opportunities to:

  • Build meaningful connections with rural school leaders from across their region.
  • Engage with innovative leaders from education organizations and districts who bring fresh ideas and real-world perspectives.
  • Explore innovative schools and practices through immersive school tours.
  • Examine current education trends and research and consider their application in rural settings.
  • Share successes, challenges, and solutions with peers who understand the rural school experience.
  • Collaborate across districts and develop connections that can continue beyond each session.

Each meeting is designed to spark new ideas, celebrate the great work happening in rural schools, and provide practical strategies leaders can take back to their districts.

Come ready to learn, share, collaborate, and be energized by a community that truly gets rural education.

PD Hours will be awarded for each meeting attended.
