Health Beyond Healthcare Initiative Workshop - Santa Fe, NM

The third workshop of the Western Governors’ Association’s (WGA) Chair initiative, Health Beyond Healthcare, will be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on November 16 and 17 at the Eldorado Hotel. This workshop, hosted by New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, will explore strategies to expand coverage and affordability of mental health services and examine efforts to enforce and modernize mental health parity.  Policymakers and experts will participate in discussions about federal insurance programs, maternal mental health, disaster response, access to treatment during incarceration and reentry, and more. 

Health Beyond Healthcare is the 2027 WGA Chair initiative of Hawaiʻi Governor Josh Green. The initiative focuses on strengthening mental health outcomes across western states and territories by addressing both clinical care and the broader conditions that are foundational to mental health and well-being.
