David Lammy
David Lammy is the Member of Parliament for Tottenham and former Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He previously served as Foreign Secretary during a period of extraordinary geopolitical upheaval, helping steer British diplomacy through crises in the Middle East and deepening support for Ukraine while navigating a changing relationship with the United States. In 2017, he led an independent review into the treatment and outcomes of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic people in the criminal justice system, and before that he served as a minister in several departments as part of the Labour government from 2001 to 2010. He is the author of Out of the Ashes: Britain After the Riots (2011) and Tribes: How Our Need to Belong Can Make or Break Society (2020).
Leslie Vinjamuri
Leslie Vinjamuri is president and CEO of the Chicago Council. She joined the Council from the Royal Institute of International Affairs, known as Chatham House, in London, where she served as director of the US and the Americas program and previously as dean of the Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs. With more than 20 years of experience in international affairs, research, policy, and public engagement, she has authored more than 30 publications, and is a regular media commentator, contributing to The New York Times, The Washington Post, Financial Times, and appearing on CNN, Bloomberg, and the BBC, among others.
