WAVES Festival: Code of Conduct
The WAVES Festival is dedicated to fostering an environment free from harassment, discrimination, and disrespectful behavior, ensuring all delegates can participate fully and safely.
Expectations for Attendees:
- Community Support: Look out for one another to maintain a community-oriented atmosphere.
- Respect Boundaries: Honor the personal boundaries of fellow attendees.
- Consent for Physical Contact: Seek explicit consent before initiating any physical contact.
- Appropriate Promotion: Refrain from aggressively pitching personal cases, services, or products.
- Confidentiality: Respect and adhere to confidentiality requests made by other delegates.
Prohibited Behaviors:
- Sexual Harassment: Any unwelcome sexual attention or physical contact.
- Disruptive Actions: Behaviors such as excessive drinking, stalking, or following someone.
- Abuse of Power: Misuse of position, wealth, race, or gender to exert undue influence.
- Discrimination: Acts of homophobia, racism, or any behavior that discriminates against a group or class of people.
- Violence or Threats: Engaging in violent or threatening behavior.
Violations of this Code may result in removal from current or future WAVES Festivals. The WAVES Festival will investigate any reported incidents with discretion and confidentiality.
