New Era of Security: Nuclear Threats and  Beyond

The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 ushered in a new era of security challenges, one in which nuclear saber-rattling has played a role, but also conventional drone incursions into the territory of NATO member states. Hybrid warfare—assassination, undersea cable-cutting, explosions at warehouses storing aid for Ukraine—has affected countries across Europe. Rose Gottemoeller will explore how this new season of warfare is affecting our U.S. national defense and how Americans should be thinking about security, resilience and defense.
