The MQI Coaching Virtual Institute is an opportunity for math coaches and supervisors to learn best practices and leverage resources from our team at Harvard University, so that they can replicate such positive results in their own school or district.
The training will focus on the Mathematical Quality of Instruction (MQI) rubric—the cornerstone of our success—and how to use it as an effective coaching tool. The curriculum provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the MQI Coaching model and hands-on experience using the MQI to guide teachers’ growth. This workshop is geared toward instructional leaders in mathematics; particularly those who are providing feedback and support for mathematics teachers.
The MQI Coaching Virtual Institute will run from July 7 - July 30, 2026 as a series of synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences. We recommend participants plan to attend all live webinars and be prepared to complete assignments independently, prior to each live webinar. Webinars will be recorded if participants must miss some live sessions. Live webinars will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. ET.
Registration fee is $999 per participant or $899 each for groups of 2+, early bird registration is $899, and Introductory MQI Online Course participants receive 10% off per participant or group.
*If you are joining us from outside the United States, please email us at mqicoaching@gse.harvard.edu with your name and country of residence prior to submitting your registration.
