Philanthropy, like many other sectors, finds itself at a crossroads. Do we stay the course and continue swimming with the Currents that have guided us thus far? Or do we forge new pathways and structures which allow the ways in which we work to evolve?

The technological revolution is upon the philanthropic sector as much as any other. Decisions on how deeply to engage with AI or not at all, and what innovations it will bring are issues that we all must explore. Through that exploration, however, we must remember what remains as the most important constant in philanthropy—that at its core it exists due to a love of humanity and service to local communities. It leaves us to ponder the question: how do we stay current, but maintain our heart and soul?

We invite you to join us at the Florida Philanthropic Network’s 2027 Statewide Summit on Philanthropy, Currents. As the preeminent gathering of grantmakers in the state of Florida, it presents an amazing opportunity to learn, network, adapt and lead without losing what makes this work matter.

Who May Attend

More than 90% of participants are from grantmaking organizations, including CEOs, board members, and staffs of private independent and family foundations, community foundations, public charity grantmakers, and corporate foundations/giving programs from throughout Florida. Top government, nonprofit, business and academic leaders from Florida are also invited.

#2027FPN Non-Solicitation Policy

Since a vital role of Florida Philanthropic Network is to provide an opportunity for grantmakers to meet in a collegial and respectful atmosphere, it is not appropriate to solicit donations at FPN programs, events and other functions. Collaborative grantmaking is encouraged. Organizations that have a dual grantmaking and grantseeking role agree that their development staff will not utilize FPN activities or resources for fundraising/development purposes.
