Description:

The Trauma Nursing Core Provider Course (TNCC) is a 2-day course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) to provide Registered Nurses with the knowledge, critical thinking skills and hands-on training to provide expert care for trauma patients.

Upon course completion, the participant will be able to properly assess and implement evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes. TNCC is a 4-year certification with 19.5 CNE hours awarded upon course completion.

Course Format:

• Text review
• Pre-course online modules & study guide
• Live simulation
• Instructor-led classroom discussions and skills stations

Requirements of Successful Course Completion:

• Attendance at both days
• Grade of 80% or greater on the final online test via the ENA website
• Demonstration of all criteria in the hands-on Trauma Nursing Process exam with 70% completion of steps 

Class Prerequisites:

• Register on Cvent via the Knight Nursing Center website (use one email address for all correspondence, either personal or work)
• Review the TNCC Provider Manual, 9^th edition

MGH RNs from the Emergency Department, PACU and the following ICUs: Blake 12, Ellison 4 SICU, Lunder 6 Neuro ICU, Bigelow 6 PICU
