The conference is designed to spark new ideas and collaborative solutions through a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers, workshops, and dedicated time to engage with peers.
A Central Location
New for 2026, NYSCIO will be held at 41 Lakefront Hotel on Seneca Lake in Geneva, NY.
All conference events, including meals, will take place at the hotel. Lodging is also available on site.
What is NYSCIO?
The annual New York State Chief Information Officers conference (NYSCIO) was originally a meeting of the minds, where higher education CIOs discussed shared experiences and collaborated on solutions.
25 years later, NYSCIO has grown to include technology leaders across the nonprofit sector. This incredibly collaborative conference addresses the future of technology, cybersecurity and leadership.
Who attends NYSCIO?
Senior IT leaders in the nonprofit industry are encouraged to attend. While most participants are from New York State organizations, we welcome all Nysernet community members.
Note: this is a community-focused event. Only pre-approved vendors will be in attendance. Registration is limited to eligible nonprofit organizations.

Conveniently located, Geneva is a 60-minute drive from both the Syracuse and Rochester airports and located just off I-90.
41 Lakefront sits at the top of beautiful Seneca Lake - the longest and deepest of the Finger Lakes! A picturesque setting for connection and collaboration.
The venue also includes affordable on-site lodging.
NYSCIO 2026 will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16 with networking, dinner and a Lakeside Chat. Programming will resume on Wednesday, June 17 at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. with grab-n-go dinner available for attendees.
