Overview:

The ABC2 Course provides intensive preparation for CICM Second Part exam candidates, focusing on enhancing exam performance and psychological resilience. Participants engage in structured practice and critique sessions across various case scenarios, ensuring readiness and confidence for the clinical exam.

 

Who is it for?

Due to the incredibly limited number of course positions available the ABC2 course is only for CICM Second Part exam candidates who will be participating in the next clinical (oral) exam this October.

This course is for those who already have started some clinical exam practice.

 

Course Objectives:

Prepare candidates for success in the CICM Fellowship clinical exam.

Equip participants to:

  • Demonstrate optimal exam performance strategies, including managing mindset and stress.
  • Critique and refine their exam technique for improved performance.
  • Align their approach with expected examiner standards.
  • Engage in discussions with consultants and examiners regarding strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Practice and refine exam technique across a diverse range of case scenarios.
  • Reflect on performance through personalized feedback and critique.

 

The ABC2 course will provide pre-course video lectures that touch on approach to the CICM viva, special viva and hot cases.

 

Course attendees may be privy to Alfred ICU visitor policies. 

 

The ABC2 team consists of examiners, fellows and advanced trainees of CICM based in Melbourne with expertise and enthusiasm for trainee development and education.
