Terms and Conditions for MAXCON™ Registration, A Liquid Enterprise Event

By registering for MAXCON or any event (“Event”) held by Liquid Enterprise or one of its affiliates, each attendee (“Attendee”) acknowledges that he or she has read and agrees to these terms and conditions, as well as the terms and conditions of the Royal Caribbean International (“RCI”). 

 

1. Conference Code of Conduct. Attendee will comply with the Liquid Enterprise Conference Code of Conduct set forth at Liquid Enterprise Conference Code of Conduct.

2. Waiver of Liability. Attendee assumes all risks associated with Attendee’s attendance and participation in all on-site and off-site activities that are part of or incident to the Event. Attendee will indemnify, defend and hold Liquid Enterprise, its officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, sponsors, successors and assigns harmless from all damages, loss, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) and liability arising out of or related to Attendee’s attendance and participation at the Event, including without limitation, any damage caused by Attendee or any of Attendee’s guests to any facilities utilized by Liquid Enterprise for the Event.

2.1 Communicable Disease Waiver. Attendee acknowledges the possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including by not limited to MRSA, influenza, Norovirus and COVID-19. The CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. Attendee voluntarily accepts the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by an illness which may result from participation in the conference. Attendee hereby releases and agrees to hold Liquid  harmless from, and waive any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to persons and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection participation in the conference. This liability waiver and release extends to Liquid together with all owners, partners, agents, contractors, sponsors, exhibitors, employees, and their successors.

3. Release and Consent. Attendee hereby grants permission to Liquid Enterprise to use his/her image, likeness and the sound of Attendee’s voice as recorded on audio, video or other type of tape or recording mechanism during any on-site and off-site gatherings during the Event without payment or any other consideration. Attendee understands that his/her image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed. Attendee waives any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to such use. Further, Attendee agrees that Liquid may use his/her name and contact information such as email address:

(a) as necessary for the Event;
(b) for optional customer satisfaction surveys and feedback;
(c) to provide information to Attendee about its products, services and future events;
(d) for forwarding to other attendees of the Event; and
(e) for forwarding to companies who may also contact Attendee with further information; provided that these companies consist of reputable suppliers of industrial maintenance products, services and training services

4. Cancellation Policy. Your registration is non-refundable. No refunds will be made for any reason whatsoever. Attendee may substitute a person from the same company for the event up to 60 days prior to the event but must advise Liquid in writing.

5. Payment Policy. Payment must be made by credit card at the time of registration. Please select the appropriate payment method when registering and contact maxcon@liquidenterprise.com with any questions.

6. Passes. Passes are provided as part of the consideration under this Agreement and hold promotional or experiential value only. Passes do not have a cash or monetary value under this agreement and are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-redeemable for cash or credit in any circumstance, including if returned or unused due to cancellation.

7. Companion Pass Restrictions. Event attendees have the option to bring one companion with them for an additional charge. Companion Passes are limited as follows: 

a. Limit one Companion per attendee.
b. Companion passes do not allow entry to any learning sessions, general sessions, keynotes, workshops, learning labs, expo, or any private functions without a specific invitation. Persons under 21 may not register for or attend the event or ANY function of the event. NO PERSON may enter any conference event without a pass.
c. Under no circumstances may a Companion pass be purchased for or used by a person who could reasonably be defined as a “commercial” or “business” guest.
d. The Companion pass is offered as a convenience for spouses, adult children, or other personal guests of an attendee, and the Companion is not expected to be attending the event in any commercial capacity.
e. The Companion Pass is non-refundable

8. Travel. Travel arrangements pre and post conference are the responsibility of attendees. We recommend arriving the day before the start of the event as well as the purchase of Travel Insurance. Conference attendees are responsible to obtain and present necessary identification and documentation for embarkation as required by Royal Caribbean. There will be no reimbursement for missing the conference due to late arrival or denial of embarkation for any reason.

9. Personal Loss. Liquid Enterprise is not responsible for personal loss, injury, damage, etc. caused by or incurred by attendees of Liquid. Guests are recommended to purchase optional cruise insurance.

10. General. LIQUID ENTERPRISE HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE EVENT, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. These terms and conditions constitute the complete understanding of the parties regarding the subject matter hereof. No amendment, modification or waiver of any provision of these terms and conditions shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect, and such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible so as to affect the intent of the parties and shall be reformed to the extent necessary to make such provision valid and enforceable. No waiver of rights by either party may be implied from any actions or failures to enforce rights under these terms and conditions. LIQUID ENTERPRISE WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IN NO EVENT WILL LIQUID’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND THE EVENT(S) EXCEED THE COST OF YOUR REGISTRATION.

11. Privacy Policy. Your privacy is important to us. Liquid Enterprise is sensitive to protecting the private information that our guests provide to us. We also want you to have the opportunity to obtain interesting and helpful information regarding products and services. This privacy policy describes how Liquid Enterprise and Liquidenterprise.com treats information received about you when you provide information to us and when you attend a Liquid Enterprise event. 11.1 How You Can Access or Update Your Personal Information
a. If you would like to update, change or delete your personal information you may also do so by sending an email to maxcon@liquidenterprise.com with your current subscriber email address and the details of what information you would like changed or updated.

11.2 How We Use Customer Information
a. The information may be stored with a third-party service. Such third parties do not share this information and are only selected if we are satisfied, they provide security and privacy that meet our standards.
b. Occasionally we may use our customer database to distribute newsletters and other announcements that we feel will be of a legitimate interest to our registrants.
c. Liquid Enterprise will share information with government authorities when legally required to do so and may cooperate with these authorities’ investigating claims of illegal activity such as (but not limited to) illegal transfer or use of copyrighted material, or postings or email containing threats of violence. Except under the limited circumstances described above, we do not disclose customer information to third parties.

11.3 Opting Out or Un-subscribing and Accessing Your Contact Information
a. Liquid Enterprise does not have any interest in sending you information that you do not want. You can unsubscribe by sending an email to maxcon@liquidenterprise.com with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. You may also request removal from any contact list at Liquid Enterprise by replying to that email and requesting "remove" in the subject line.

11.4 Changes to Liquid Privacy Policy
a. We make changes to this policy from time to time. We will post changes to our Privacy Policy here, so be sure to check back periodically. We may also decide to notify customers via email of significant changes. Regardless of later updates or changes to our privacy policy, we will never use the information you submit under our current privacy policy in a new way without allowing you to opt out or otherwise prohibit that use.

Code of Conduct for MAXCON™, A Liquid Enterprise Event

WELCOME TO A SPACE OF SHARED FOCUS AND LEARNING!

Liquid Enterprise Conferences are a harassment-free experience for all participants regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of speakers, conference participants, or staff in any form during conference sessions, on the conference center floor, or at any other officially sanctioned conference events. All communications and interactions should be appropriate for a professional audience. Comments or images that are defamatory, slanderous, libelous, discriminatory (on the basis of age, race, color, creed, body size, gender or gender preference), obscene or constitute sexual harassment are prohibited.

 Conference attendees are prohibited from verbally abusing or physically accosting the conference staff, speakers, or other delegates. Conference participants violating these guidelines may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund or liability at the discretion of the Conference Organizers. If you are being harassed, witness someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns please contact the Conference Organizers immediately. The Conference Organizers can be reached at any time via the registration desk. We value the participation of our attendees, speakers, and exhibitors and expect all conference participants to abide by these guidelines.


Conference Center and Events Code of Conduct

No one will be admitted to the conference center or scheduled events without possessing a badge. All conference center and events attendees must wear their conference badge at all times. There is to be no solicitation of business on the conference hall floor by anyone other than confirmed sponsors. Non-sponsoring companies and attendees selling on the conference center floor will be escorted from the conference center and not allowed to return.
No one under the age of 21 is permitted to attend the conference or related events.

The Conference Organizers reserve the right to limit food and beverage served inside the conference center and, at sole discretion, may not permit food and beverage to be taken from the conference center to any areas outside the conference center.

The Conference Organizers reserve the right to refuse to admit or to eject any person from the conference center.

 

Video/Photography/Podcasts/Interviews

Occasionally the Conference Organizers may document the conference sessions and/or conference center in video or photograph format for archival and/or promotional purposes. Unless this permission is revoked in writing to the Conference Organizers, by virtue of attending all conference participants agree to the use of their voice and/or image in such materials.

Taking video or photographs of the conference or attendees of the conference or conducting podcasts or interviews involving conference attendees for commercial purposes is not allowed without the express written permission of Liquid Enterprise.

Compliance

All conference participants will comply with the rules of the conference facility and are subject to all Royal Caribbean Guest Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions related to purchase, Health, Safety and conduct,  Royal Caribbean International and with all applicable laws and regulations. Conference participants may not engage in any activities in the conference facility which involve any form or type of pyrotechnics, fireworks, flares, flames, or other flammable or explosive materials or items, or any other hazardous substances or any substance banned by Royal Caribbean International.
