This is the entry point. Participants come away understanding how Claude works, where it breaks, and how to use it productively in a finance context.

Key topics include:

  • Prompt engineering fundamentals: strategies for eliciting accurate, relevant responses and techniques for crafting both initial and follow-up prompts to maximise output quality
  • Hallucination mitigation: understanding Claude's limitations and how to recognize and prevent misinformation in high-stakes financial work 
  • Document analysis: best practices for using Claude to analyse, draft, and summarise common source documents including Excel and PDF files, with a focus on streamlining daily operations 
  • Finance-specific applications: leveraging Claude for company and industry research, due diligence, data analysis, drafting proposals and presentations, brainstorming, and administrative tasks
