Pitch + Questions
Due to strong interest in this event, we are asking Partners to submit a tailored pitch for consideration. This pitch should reflect the "elevator pitch" you will present to the media.
Pitches should be no more than one page. Criteria include:
- Newsworthiness - this can be a new hotel/attraction, however, in many cases “newsworthiness” may also mean UFO evergreen talking points (unique/first/only offerings). For example, Discover Crystal River may include swimming with the manatees under a question about outdoor offerings. It is not new, but it checks the “unique” and “only” boxes.
- Relevancy to questions provided - please make sure your talking points answer the question.
- Timeliness - Your responses should answer the inevitable question we all get from the media: “Why now?”
See below for a list of questions/prompts to help showcase how your destination aligns with our event:
- What iconic or hidden elements define your destination?
- Whether through pristine ecosystems, legendary landmarks, unique local traditions– what is your region best known for?
- What makes your destination particularly timely or compelling for New York media, creators and travelers right now?
- Highlight any new developments, direct transit/airlift connections, emerging travel trends, culinary or cultural shifts, notable anniversaries and milestones, etc.
- Can you please provide information on anything new for 2027 and 2028?
- This could include attractions, hotels/resorts, shopping, restaurants, outdoor adventures, sports, and transportation, etc.
- If selected, what tangible sample, promotional item or leave behind could you provide for media attendees?
- Items should support the storytelling of what makes your destination unique.
- What sensory experience or story angle could your destination bring to life at the event?
- Consider interactive activations, regional tastings, local artisan goods, historical storytelling moments, or immersive visuals.
When registering, you will be prompted to specify who from your team plans to attend. Please note that VISIT FLORIDA will prioritize Florida-based Partners over in-market agency representatives.
There are two steps to registering. First, register for the event below. Then upload your pitch here. You must complete both steps in order to be considered for the event. The deadline to complete registration is November 9, 2026.
No refunds will be issued within 60 days of the event date.
