This dedicated course aims to teach all healthcare professionals what they should know about IVUS and physiology. The agenda assumes no knowledge but demands progress, covers the basics while teaching all needed advanced skills for confident use of both modalities.​​

Course objectives

• Understand the basics of coronary physiology and the physics behind ultrasound imaging generation​​
• Be able to translate such foundation knowledge onto the clinical application of physiological indices and IVUS​
• Be familiar with practical aspects of IVUS and pressure guidewire set up and manipulation​​
• Identify clinical scenarios in which IVUS and physiology are most likely to help decision making and when to avoid them​​
• Go back to their clinical work with confidence to use both modalities.​
