Certified Assisted Living Administrator Course
Georgia law requires all Assisted Living Community (ALC) and Personal Care Home (PCH) administrators to be licensed. Under HB 987, administrators must provide proof of completing an approved 14-hour pre-licensure program and successfully passing a written examination as part of the licensure process through the Georgia Board of Long Term Care Facility Administrators.
ALC/PCH administrators must meet licensure requirements within 60 days of their date of hire — and GHCA/GCAL can help!
The GHCA/GCAL Certified Assisted Living Administrator Course is an approved program designed to satisfy the educational component of Georgia’s licensure requirements. The course provides a minimum of 14 hours of instruction focused on the responsibilities of assisted living community administration and includes a required written examination.
Participants must also meet the applicable practical experience requirements established by the Georgia Board of Long Term Care Facility Administrators, including at least one year of full-time practical experience in a healthcare facility or managerial/supervisory experience outside of a healthcare facility prior to application.
Complete your required education while gaining valuable knowledge and resources to help you successfully lead in Georgia’s assisted living profession.
